  Self driving around wineries can be rather hard on the driver who is denied the pleasure of swallowing at the tastings and so even fiercely independent travellers may like to opt for at least one escorted tour here! The selection of day tours below all depart from and end in Perth.
  
DAY WINE TOURS FROM PERTH:
Lunch Wine Cruise   (half day)

Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on board with complimentary wine as you depart the city and head upstream for an afternoon in the Swan Valley.  Relax as you cruise past the Burswood Resort Casino, the new East Perth re-development and WA's renowned Belmont Park and the Ascot racecourses.  Disembark at Waters Edge Cafe Winery for fine wine tasting at WA's oldest underground cellar. Then reboard for a relaxing return cruise home and enjoy afternoon tea and some light entertainment.  Includes return city hotel coach transfers.  (Please note that your visit to Waters Edge Cafe Winery is for premium wine tasting only and does not include a tour of the winery.)

Your Captain and crew will ensure you are well looked after as you cruise upstream into the picturesque Swan Valley on one of Perth's most entertaining day tours!
Enjoy morning tea soon after you board, followed by cheese and biscuits and a tasting of premium 'Wines of the Month' from local Western Australian vineyards. On arrival in the upper reaches of the Swan, transfer to an air-conditioned coach and visit two of WA's most prestigious and best known wineries, Houghton and Sandalford.  Here you will sample and have the opportunity to purchase some of their distinctive premium wines.
Relax at the riverside restaurant Waters Edge Cafe Winery for a delicious three course lunch (choice of three mains).  Enjoy music from the pianist and live entertainment that follows on the cheerful trip home.  Wines are included throughout the day, including with your meal, and there is a further wine tasting opportunity after lunch at Waters Edge Cafe Winery.  Complimentary hotel transfers are available on request.

Margaret River, Winery, Caves and Karri Forests  (1 day)

Even if your time in Perth is strictly limited, this tour by coach enables you to see the lovely south western corner of the state. Following morning tea at Dawesville Channel, travel to Xanadu Winery, one of the early established vineyards of the region and enjoy a wine tasting. Then travel on to the Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre, housing the largest collection of native raptors in Australia. View them handled close up and witness their lightning speed during a free flight display. Afterwards, enjoy a genuine Australian style picnic lunch.  Next experience Mammoth Cave, one of over 300 natural underground limestone caves in the district and take a guided tour providing a fascinating insight into the creation of these pristine formations.  Massive surf has long been a major draw card of the area so next you head to Surfers Point at Prevelly Park, where international surf competitions are held and there are views of the rugged coastline. Later stop in the township of Margaret River for free time to explore the main street shops, featuring works of local craft people. Back on the road again you break for a comfort stop at Busselton Jetty before returning home to Perth, arriving back at approximately 8.30 pm.
