The Winery at Tower Lodge ..

The winery makes small quantities of wine, up to 1000 cases, from classic varieties sourced from those areas in Australia best suited to a particular variety.

The winery is set up for hand made wines, beginning with hand picked grapes through to the hand sorting table and on to the open fermenters that are hand plunged or foot stomped daily.

Tower Estate is one of the Hunter’s newest working boutique wineries. Winemaker, Dan Dineen a graduate of Roseworthy College, believes that limiting production allows for an uncompromising approach to his winemaking and affords him the opportunity to concentrate on small parcels of super premier wine. Tastings available from 10.00-5.00pm daily.

Leisure at Tower Lodge ..
The two superb restaurants at the Lodge are focal points for making the most of your stay.

The Lodge has an 18-hole golf putting course and there are also several other international standard golf courses to choose from within a few minutes drive of the Lodge.  On the western perimeter of the Lodge within a private, enclosed compound is a heated outdoor lap pool, a sauna, gym, and a massage treatment room. Guests may also choose to have massage in the privacy of their guestroom.  For the more energetic, the Estate has a 1.6km walking track connecting the restaurants and winery to the Lodge and a full size tennis court will shortly be completed.

Beyond Tower Estate the Hunter Valley wine country offers a variety of experiences. You can visit some of the country’s oldest wineries and vineyards. Established since the 1800s the Hunter winemaking industry has flourished, with now over eighty wineries and cellar doors, not to mention restaurants and cafes. Discover the Convict Trail on an adventure hike or mountain bike or take an early morning or twilight stroll and see kangaroos grazing in misty paddocks. Visit the many old villages like Wollombi, Morpeth and Maitland where you can buy local art, crafts and antiques.
