General Information about El Questro
Opening and the Seasons
El Questro is closed from 1November - 31 March each year.
Locally termed The Green Season or The Wet, from November to March temperatures may reach as high as 40°C. Although a truly dramatic time of year, the most popular season to visit the Kimberley is during the cloudless months of April to October, The Dry.  During The Dry, temperatures are in the high 20s°C to the low 30s°C with cool evenings, yet warm enough to eat under the stars.

Clothing
Casual light clothes are best with good walking shoes, and don't forget your broad brimmed hats and sunscreen lotion.

A Million Acres of El Questro
Aerial panorama at El QuestroEl Questro Wilderness Park is considered to be one of the world's most unique holiday destinations.  More than a million acres in size, El Questro was developed in 1991 to provide a truly Australian holiday destination.
The Kimberley region in far North Western Australia is one of the world's last unspoilt frontiers. It is an ancient land extending from Broome in the South West to Kununurra and Wyndham near the Northern Territory border. The experiences are unforgettable with rugged ranges, broad tidal flats, rainforest pockets, gorges and waterfalls. The Kimberley is special and gives you the feeling that you are the first to arrive.
El Questro is on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley and runs for approximately eighty kilometres into the heart of the region, much of which has never been explored and certainly never settled.
Animal, bird and fish life congregate in and around the rivers and waterholes of the Kimberley and  El Questro boasts four major river systems - from fresh water springs to the tranquil salt water estuaries in the northern part of the property.
