DAY 2 After a short drive you board the MV Investigator for a 4-5 hr cruise (own cost at $120 payable on boarding the boat). It is a relaxing day viewing and swimming with dolphins and Australian sea lions. Then visit the famous Murphy's Haystacks - the weird and wonderful - 100,000 year old granite inselbergs* shaped by the sands of time. Continue on to Venus Bay - a beautiful sheltered beautiful bay. On a coastal walk you may catch sight of dolphins as they frolic in and out of the waves. Tonight you stay at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat. Your hosts will take you on a unique nocturnal spotlighting tour looking for kangaroos, wombats and emus (BLD) * An inselberg is an isolated hill, knob, ridge, or small mountain that rises abruptly from a level or gently sloping surrounding plain. |

DAY 3 It's up and hit the waves for Kingo's Learn to Surf School. Kingo is a teacher who has given up his normal teaching in school to conduct surf schools up and down the west coast. After two hours with Kingo he will have you up surfing and enjoying life! Then travel further along the West coast of South Australia where you stop at Ceduna Indigenous Arts and Culture Centre and see indigenous men and women doing traditional art paintings. Later in the afternoon, head for the tiny historical settlement of Fowlers Bay, adjacent to massive sand dunes. Finish off the day with some extreme fun by sand boarding. (BLD) |

| DAY 4 Leaving Fowlers Bay behind, cross the dingo fence and travel through Yalata Aboriginal lands and on to the Nullarbor Plain. In season [June – October] the Southern Right Whales migrate to the Head of the Bight. Up to 100 of these amazing mammals can be viewed from scenic lookouts. Outside of the whale season you will not be disappointed with the spectacular coastline and viewing platforms that showcase the majestic Nullarbor Cliffs. Stop at the locally famous wombat/camel/kangaroo road sign and call into Eucla, a former overland telegraph town now largely buried by sand dunes (BLD) |

DAY 5 Travel further towards the west through some real outback country and it will certainly give you a sense of the size of the vast and ancient land. The Nullarbor Plain is the largest single piece of rock in the world and beneath this unique landscape is a honey comb cave and lake system. | DAY 6 Arrive in Esperence (your first bit of civilization for some time) and while supplies are restocked you can look around this beautiful seaside port. Later you set up camp for the next two nights only metres away from a picture postcard beach in the Cape le Grand National Park - the park is renowned for sandy beaches and crystal clear water. | The itinerary today is kept rather flexible as there are so many great spots to visit. The guide will decide the best route on the day but the group may visit 'Bluff Knoll' a 4 hour trek in the Stirling Ranges. DAY 9 Your first stop of the day is at 'The Gap' and 'The Natural Bridge' near Albany. From there, the landscape changes dramatically as you head into the heart of the southern Eucalypt forests of Western Australia. Visit Frenchman's Bay and Greens Pool. Walk the talk on the tree top walk at the 'Valley of the Giants'; a unique structure that takes you up into the canopy of a very ancient and special eucalypts called Red Tingle trees. In the afternoon climb one of the giant Karri trees that once used as a fire lookout (BLD) |

| DAY 10 Giants Cave is your first stop today where you explore this unique Western Australian cave. After this, head to Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre for a Dream Time Tour and to experience, learn, understand and appreciate more of the aboriginal culture of this area. As you travel through the Margaret River region you visit Australia's longest wooden jetty - Busselton Jetty. Those that would like to explore what is under the sea can take a guided tour in the unique undersea observatory [optional experience A$20]. The last part of your journey gives you a chance to reflect on the experiences over the last 4200 km in ten action packed days as we head for Western Australia's capital city Perth (BL) |

DAY 2 After a morning drive along the coast you arrive in Esperance with time to have a look around. A short drive brings you to the Cape Le Grand National Park where you set up camp only metres from a picture postcard beach. The afternoon is free to explore this stunning coastal Park with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. A late afternoon hike up the granite formation known as Frenchman Peak rewards you with fantastic views of the bays and islands of the Recherche Archipelago (BLD) |

DAY 3 It is totally up to you how you would like to spend the morning enjoying this beautiful area. You may like to do one of the stunning coastal walks or go for a swim, boogie board, snorkel, fish or just relax and read a good book while lying on a pure white sandy beach. (You might have to share the beach with a local kangaroo or two!). Mid afternoon head back north to the Eyre Highway to start your eastbound journey. Tonight stop at a bush camping site (BLD) |

| Later in the
afternoon, head for the tiny old settlement of Fowlers Bay, adjacent to
massive sand dunes, where you finish the day with some extreme fun by sand
boarding (BLD) DAY 6
Leave Fowlers Bay behind and head further east into South Australia. After a short stop at
Ceduna, drive on to Streaky Bay to pick up lunch provisions, then on to Baird Bay to board the MV Investigator for a
4 - 5 hr cruise (own cost $100). It’s a relaxing day on the boat, viewing and swimming with dolphins and Australian sea lions. A short drive brings
you to Murphy’s Haystacks, incredible granite rock formations sculptured into wondrous and weird shapes over millions of years.
Finally drive on to your night’s camp spot – Coodlie Park a unique farm retreat. Finish
the day with a nocturnal spotlighting tour looking for Australia's
National Emblems - kangaroos, wombats and emus (BLD)DAY 7 This morning visit the Colton Bakery - a unique wood fired bakery on the side of the highway with an honesty pay system. Meet the owner and walk through this interesting bakery. Then it's up to Walkers Rock where you learn to surf under the tuition of Kingo - an Eyre Peninsula legend has given up teaching students in school to now teaching learn to surf up and down the Eyre Peninsula coastline. Then head out by 4 Wheel Drive on to a beautiful deserted beach and spend the next two hours mastering the surf breaks. Have lunch at Elliston's Great Ocean Tourist Drive with stunning sculptures which contrast against the Investigator Group of Islands in the back ground. Travel on to Locks Well and admire the view and the man made 291 steps down to the Locks Well beach. Continue on through an old settlement called Nowhere Else, before settling for the night in the city of Port Lincoln. (BLD) DAY 8 Today is an extreme day of fun! Those that dare come face to face with the Great White Shark on a day tour [optional experience A$385] which includes a video highlights of your experience. Those not wishing to be quite so extreme have the opportunity to swim with Tuna - it is like swimming with lightening as these unique fish go into a frenzy while being fed as you snorkel your way around the ring. This tour is followed by a visit to Glen Forest Wildlife Park. Once the shark crew arrives back you head to Cowell for a great overnight Aussie country pub experience! (BLD) DAY 9 From Cowell you head through Whyalla and into Port Augusta and the Wadlata Cultural Centre. From Port Augusta, cross over the Southern Flinders Ranges and do your last bushwalk at Alligator Gorge before continuing to South Australia's capital city Adelaide (BL) |

| DAY 1 Your adventure begins north from Adelaide as you travel into the Southern Flinders Ranges. Join a Pichi Richi Camel Trek and discover South Australia's premier national park. This is followed by a bush tucker lunch in this pristine environment. Continue along the way and take in typical rural towns. At the end of the first day's journey, Climb Mount Wudinna, the largest exposed granite monolith in South Australia, for a magical sunset. Experience your first bush camp near some granite outcrops on the edge of the Gawler Ranges National Park (LD) DAY 2 After a short drive you board the MV Investigator for a 4-5 hr cruise (own cost at $120 payable on boarding the boat). | DAY 1 Your adventure begins as you travel east over the Darling Ranges. After a morning break at the historic township of York continue your journey south. The lunch stop will be at Wave Rock, where there is the opportunity to have a look at this amazing rock formation. After lunch drive further south to our camp near the coast of the Fitzgerald River National Park, an internationally recognized world biosphere reserve with plenty of beautiful beaches, rugged coastline and the opportunity for a short walk or swim before dinner (LD) DAY 2 After a morning drive along the coast, arrive in Esperance with time to have a look around. | MEALS: Plenty of
variety is offered with fresh produce whenever possible. Please advise
of any special dietary requirements when you book. CAMPING: The tours are camping adventures and participation and involvement is required from passengers. All camping equipment necessary for your tour will be provided and sleeping bags can be hired for A$15 or a swag for A$50. Please request sleeping bags/swags at the time of booking. Tents are 3 person dome style shared by a maximum of 2 people. Please note that 'bush camps' may not have any facilities. WHAT TO BRING: personal belongings, sleeping bag , torch, walking shoes, swimmers, water bottle, insect repellent, hat, sunscreen. International travellers please note: Bags are restricted to 1 backpack/soft travel bag up to 15kg per person, plus one small piece of hand luggage. However, it is possible to send the rest of your luggage via Greyhound Bus to Perth/Adelaide. |
