How to get to Rawnsley Park Station

By Road:  Rawnsley Park Station is located 430 kilometres north (around 4.5 hours drive) of Adelaide, along sealed roads.
By air:  There is an air strip at Rawnsley Park which can accommodate planes carrying up to 20 passengers.

Premier Stateliner and Gulf Getaways coaches stop at Rawnsley Park twice weekly.

 The nearest service town to Rawnsley Park Station is Hawker, located approximately 30 kilometres south with a good general store (with ATM facilities), galleries, several pubs and cafes, a petrol station, visitor information and (ever useful) public conveniences.
 

About Rawnsley Park Station

Deluxe villa at Rawnsley Park StationRawnsley Park Station, on the southern face of Wilpena Pound, was settled as part of Arkaba Station in 1851.  It is still in private ownership and a working sheep station and is the site of a group of new luxury villas, built with the environment in mind.  Overlooking the southern side of Wilpena Pound, Rawnsley Park Station provides the perfect base for exploring South Australia’s beautiful Flinders Ranges and is also a useful stop off point if you are travelling deeper into the outback.
Rawnsley Park also offers a caravan park plus camping and cabins.

Activities at Rawnsley Park Station
  • Seven marked bush walking trails ranging from half an hour to five hours (Rawnsley Bluff) return, wind through the station
  • Scenic Flights operate daily from the Rawnsley Park Station airstrip.
  • Horse Riding is available and offers you the chance to take in the spectacular sites of the station and the surrounding area on horse back. Choose from a 1 hour, 2 hour or half day (4hours) ride.
  • Half and full day 4WD tours depart daily from the property taking you out to the most spectacular scenery of the Flinders Ranges.

NB  Scenic flights, riding and 4WD tours are at your own expense.
