O'Reilly's and Kingfisher Bay Resort Package (4 nights/5 days)
Itinerary
Day 1:  Brisbane to Lamington National Park
Travel to Australia's largest subtropical rainforest, World Heritage Lamington National Park, climbing to 3,000 feet above sea level and O'Reilly's Plateau.  O'Reilly's 4WD transfer will meet your arrival flight in Brisbane or pick you up at your designated hotel at the time of your choice.  On arrival at O'Reilly's enjoy a brief tour of the Guest House and facilities.  Then explore the magnificent rainforest and its many attractions.  Discover the famous Tree Top Walk and inspect the extensive display of plants and flowers in the nearby botanical gardens.  As the sun sets you can enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony of your room.
Day 2:  O'Reilly's Guest House (B)
Start the day with O'Reilly's famous birdwalk and meet the hundreds of birds that visit each morning to feed around the guesthouse.  At breakfast a nature guide will invite you to participate in the day's discovery programme with half day guided rainforest walks and  4WD bus excursions to scenic lookouts.  In the evening, join a nocturnal walk, watch an audiovisual presentation or just relax in the lounge and learn about the fascinating history of the O'Reilly family and Lamington National Park.
Day 3:  O'Reilly's to Kingisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island (B)
Check out after an early morning breakfast and depart for Kingfisher Bay on Fraser Island.  Your 4WD transfer departs at 8 am and takes you to Roma Street Station to connect with the Tilt Train, departing at 11.00 am.  The train arrives in Maryborough at 2.48 pm.  You will be transferred by coach to Hervey Bay Coach terminal and met by Kingfisher Bay staff there, from where you will be taken to Urangan Boat Harbour for your catamaran transfer to Kingfisher at 4 pm.  After a 45 minute cruise across the Great Sandy Strait, you will be welcomed at one of Australia's leading ecotourism resorts.  Explore the resort, swim in the pools, go bush walking or try your luck with fishing.  Nocturnal activities include indulging in great Australian food and wine, relaxing in the Maheno Lounge or kicking up your heels at the Wilderness Bar.
Day 4:  Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island (B,L)
Before your buffet breakfast, join a ranger to seek out some of the birds of Fraser.  At 8.45 am depart on the Beauty Spots full day 4WD coach tour.  Discover amazing pockets of rainforest growing in sand, crystal clear freshwater lakes, shipwrecks and coloured sands.  You'll drive along one of the world's most spectacular highways, 75 Mile Beach, and learn the fascinating history of Fraser Island.  Lunch and refreshments are included.  On return to the resort late afternoon, stroll along the beach, watch the sun set over the sea and sip champagne or marvel at the stars of the southern sky.
Day 5:  Kingfisher to Brisbane (B)
After breakfast the catamaran departs at 7.40 am for Urangan Boat Harbour, to connect with the Queensland Rail coach transfer from Hervey Bay to Maryborough for the 11.57 Tilt Train.  The Tilt Train arrives back in Brisbane at 3.55 pm.

業 Tilt Train Transfer from Brisbane to Maryborough, then Queensland Rail bus on to Hervey Bay (small charge for bus payable on bus).  Departures from Platform 10 at Roma Street Transit Centre at 11.00am. (Your tilt train tickets will be given to you on arrival at O'Reilly's.  Note that  the tilt train operates at 8.55 am on Saturdays.)
 ~ Return coach/catarmaran transfers from Hervey Bay to Kingfisher Bay Resort
 ~ Transfer by Queensland Rail bus from Hervey Bay to Maryborough to connect with Tilt Train to Brisbane arriving back at 3.55 pm
