at 6.50am. Arrives back approx. 6.30pm. Minimum of 2 people. A 4WD personalised day tours to the World Heritage rainforest area of Cape Tribulation. Drive north along the scenic route to Mossman before arriving at the majestic Daintree River for a short morning tea break before an informative river cruise. Relax and enjoy the splendour as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife - this is nature at its best! Ascend the Alexandra Range, pause for a panoramic view of the World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the Coral Sea. Time for a swim in a tranquil freshwater stream, whilst a barbecue lunch is prepared (seasonal). After lunch, enjoy elevated walks through Cape Tribulation National Park with experienced guides. This tour takes you beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD only ‘Bloomfield Track’ and allows time for a swim in the Coral Sea at Cape Tribulation (seasonal) where the “Rainforest meets the Reef”. Enjoy a short afternoon refreshment stop before returning to Cairns. |

| Departs Daily from Cairns at 7.00am.
Arrives back approx. 5.30pm Your tour starts this morning as you climb Lake Morris Road, only a few minutes from Cairns itself. Stop for a panoramic view of the city and Coral Sea, before continuing through lush tropical rainforest on to Lake Morris where you can relax over morning tea. Leaving the Dam behind, engage 4 Wheel Drive to tackle the Clohesy River Road. This narrow track winds through World Heritage Rainforest, over sparkling creeks and rugged terrain. Visit giant strangler fig trees and strange termite mounds. Your experienced driver/guide will introduce you to the mysteries of the rainforest. You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the Railway Station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail. An amazing journey awaits you as you travel one of the world's most scenic rail routes through hand hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. A stop is made at Barron Gorge to view the Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda Station. Spend some time exploring this quaint Village before a short journey brings you to Rainforestation set in 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest. A number of unique activities await you. Board the unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the Rainforest. Join the Dreamtime Walk for an insight into ancient Aboriginal and Islander history. A delicious barbeque lunch is included before visiting the Koala and Wildlife Park. Time to return to Kuranda and board Skyrail, an experience which takes you over the Rainforest canopy with stops along the way allowing you to take a stroll or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre before arriving at Caravonica Lakes. Your coach will be waiting to return you to your hotel after a wonderful day in the rainforest. |
