An excellent way of getting from Broken Hill to Adelaide (or vice versa) and seeing the country with  an experienced and knowledgeable guide at the same time.  Consider adding this trip to the Indian Pacific train journey from Sydney to Broken Hill and you have a great way of travelling from Sydney to Adelaide.  Accommodation is in good quality motels en route plus a night in the first class Royal Exchange Hotel in Broken Hill itself.

Itinerary: Broken Hill to Adelaide
Day 1 (Thurs) Broken Hill 
Upon arrival on Thursday, anywhere in Broken Hill, you will be transferred to your accommodation for the night, the first class Royal Exchange Hotel,  which is included in the tour cost (room only - no meals).  

Day 2 (Fri) Broken Hill - Flinders Ranges (L/D) 
Leaving Broken Hill you immediately feel the remoteness of the Outback with broad open saltbush plains and vast blue skies. At Yunta, travel the beaten track toward the foothills of the Flinders Ranges. Lunch provides another highlight at a woolshed. The afternoon finds you in the heart of the central Flinders Ranges where wildlife such as kangaroos, wedge tail eagles and emus abound. With spectacular views of Wilpena Pound and the Elder Range you will have the opportunity to take in these magnificent ranges at some of the scenic lookouts prior to arrival into Hawker. Dinner and overnight at the Hawker Outback Motel.

Day 3 (Sat) 4WD Trek and Flinders Ranges scenic flight (B/L/D)
During the morning, enjoy a spectacular scenic flight over the natural wonder of the Wilpena Pound and the surrounding Flinders Ranges. The remainder of the day will be spent at Willow Springs Station on sections of the 4WD track, On this exciting off-road drive you can observe ancient Aboriginal rock art, stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife and much more. Return to Hawker for a well deserved dinner and a good night's rest.

Day 4 (Sun) South Australia - Clare Valley (B/L) 
Leaving the rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges behind, you experience more of the delights of South Australia. The Clare Valley Wine Region has over 30 recognized wine growers.  Sample some of the local produce and enjoy a good lunch at one of the famous wineries. A leisurely afternoon drive takes you to Adelaide, where you will be transferred to your chosen accommodation (hotel accommodation in Adelaide not included).
 

Itinerary: Adelaide to Broken Hill
Day 1 (Mon)  Adelaide - Clare Valley wine region - Flinders Ranges (L/D).  
You will be met at the bus terminal at 101 Franklin Street or at your accommodation anywhere within the Central Business District and the journey begins with a drive to the Clare Valley wine region. Enjoy lunch at one of the many famous wineries and sample some of the local produce before continuing your journey to Hawker, which is nestled amongst the beautiful central Flinders Ranges. Dinner and overnight in Hawker, your base for the next two nights. 

Day 2 (Tues) Flinders Ranges 4WD trek and scenic flight (B/L/D).  
After breakfast you head to Wilpena Pound for a thrilling, spectacular scenic flight over the magnificent Flinders Ranges. After the flight you will make your way to Willow Springs Station and the 'Skytrek', a unique 4WD off-road track where you will encounter ancient Aboriginal rock art, stunning landscapes, wildlife and much more.
 A leisurely drive in the afternoon will find you back in Hawker for dinner and overnight. 


Day 3 (Wed) Outback & Broken Hill (B/L). 
Leaving Hawker after breakfast, spend the morning touring through vast Outback country via the remote grazing properties of South Australia, lunching at an Outback woolshed. Travelling through Yunta you make your way to Broken Hill via the Barrier Highway. Check in at your accommodation and relax before dinner at JJ's Restaurant in the friendly Legion Club.  An upgrade to the first class Royal Exchange Hotel is available for tonight.

Day 4 (Thurs) Depart Broken Hill.   You will be transferred you to your place of departure (airport or railway station).
