This is a great way to travel from Darwin to Broome via the Bungle Bungles (pictured), Mini Palms gorge, Echidna Chasm, Halls Creek, Fitzroy Crossing and Geikie Gorge without breaking the bank.  Each night you will sleep in cosy canvas swags under the dazzling stars of the Outback.
The maximum group number is 16.  If you are reasonably fit, enjoy camping (sometimes in remote locations without facilities) and are willing to assist in camp duties including cooking, washing up and collection firewood etc, then this tour is for you!

Darwin to Broome Itinerary 4 nights/5 days

Departs from Darwin
Ends in Broome
Departs Wednesdays May 7 to October 1 inclusive

Day 1 - CP
Depart Darwin today with the option to take a flight to Kununurra (subject to availability) or to travel there by coach.  The journey by coach will take you south along the Victoria Highway through the Northern Territory's fourth largest town of Katherine. The road takes you through the Gregory National Park where the stunning Red Valley Gorge serves as our backdrop.  The drive through the Gregory National Park is spectacular with escarpment ranges on both sides.  You'll see unique Boab trees and the mighty Victoria River that runs through deep valleys and gorges.  Tonight you camp at the Kimberleyland Holiday Park in Kununurra.
Day 2 - NP
The first stop after Kununurra is at a secluded swimming hole followed by a visit to the renowned Warmun Art Centre to view artwork from leading Aboriginal artists in residence.  Travel on to Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park, driving for several hours along 4WD tracks.  After setting up camp, experience a magnificent Bungle Bungle sunset.
Day 3 - NP
There is a lot more to the Bungles than the 400 metre high beehive-shaped domes and today you will discover the delights of this wilderness paradise at Mini Palms Gorge and Echidna Chasm.  Walk through the tiger-striped sandstone domes at Piccaninny Creek to the spacious cavern of Cathedral Gorge, with an optional helicopter flight (at own expense) also available.
Day 4 - CP
After a bumpy start to the day along 4WD tracks, hit the bitumen again and stop at the old goldmining town of Halls Creek en route to Fitzroy Crossing, camping tonight on the banks of the Fitzroy River.  Optional boat trip this afternoon (at own expense) past the colourful cliffs of Geikie Gorge, part of the Devonian Reef system, with the chance to view some of the local wildlife.
Day 5
Today you head for the pearl town of Broome, stopping for photos at one of the many stands of boab trees that dominate the landscape.  Arrive in Broome early afternoon, where your adventure ends and your tour guide will drop you at your accommodation.
