Itinerary

Day 1: An early start from Darwin will have you in Katherine for lunch before heading west for the Victoria River and your first camp at Timber Creek.  (LD) 

Day 2:
Kununurra for fuel and supplies then on past Warmun (Turkey Creek) to your bush camp nearby.  (BLD) 

Day 3:
Purnululu (Bungle Bungles) National Park. Visit Echidna Chasm and stay at Kurrajong Camp for two nights.   (BLD)  
 
Day 4: 
Beehive domes, Piccaninny Creek (pictured) and Cathedral Gorge. A helicopter flight (optional - extra cost) over this spectacular area is highly recommended.    (BLD)

Broome to Darwin Itinerary - 8 nights / 9 days

The Kimberley "Explorer" is a 9 day all overland camping safari from Broome to Darwin through the heart of The Kimberley. Explore, bushwalk and swim in the gorges along the Gibb River Road and in the wilderness of the Mitchell Plateau and Mitchell Falls. Real 4WD adventure in this remote and magnificent region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Leave Broome and head for the Gibb River Road crossing the King Leopold Ranges to your camp at Silent Grove.  (LD)

Day 2:
Bushwalking and swimming at Bell and Galvans Gorges. On to Manning Gorge where you camp for two nights.  (BLD)

Day 3:
A full day to explore, swim, bird watch and simply relax at beautiful Manning Gorge (Upper Manning Gorge is pictured).  (BLD)

Day 4: Leave the Gibb River Road head for the remote Mitchell Plateau and your camp beside the picturesque King Edward River.  (BLD)

Day 5:
Spectacular Mitchell Falls. An optional scenic helicopter flight (extra cost) may be available. Return to King Edward River camp.  (BLD)

Day 6:
Fascinating Aboriginal 'Wandjina' and 'Bradshaw' rock art. On to Miner's Pool on the Drysdale River to camp.  (BLD)

Day 7: Cockburn Range and the Pentecost River to camp at El Questro Wilderness Park.  (BL)

Day 8:
Visit Zebedee (hot) Springs for a relaxing swim. Travel on to Kununurra, cross into the Northern Territory to your Victoria River camp.  (BLD)

Day 9:
On to Katherine and Darwin.  (BL)
