Day 1: Broome to Bungle Bungle Ranges (LD)
Setting off early from Broome at 7.00 am, travel through the vast Kimberley outback to Purnululu National Park, recently listed as a World Heritage site. This spectacular wilderness park is the home of the Bungle Bungle Range. More than 20 million years of erosion and river movements have formed these huge black and orange striped domes. Travelling via Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek on the rugged 4-wheel drive track into the national park, you arrive late afternoon at the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge.  Here you'll enjoy a 2 night stay in the heart of this World Heritage wilderness.
Overnight and dinner: Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights (furnished safari cabin with private en suite)
Day 2: Bungle Bungle Ranges (BLD)
Today you have the day to explore the Bungle Bungle Ranges with first stop the stunning Echidna Chasm known for its towering Livistonia Palms, where you can take an easy to medium 2 km walk.  Next travel to the southern side of the Bungle Bungles Massif for an easy to moderate 3 km walk into the natural amphitheatre setting of Cathedral Gorge, where you can try out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre.  You can also take an easy paced walk along the dry bed of Piccaninny Creek, the best way to inspect the domes up close.  This afternoon you have the option to take a scenic helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles (approximately A$235, own expense) for wonderful views into the incredible ravines and gorges below. Enjoy drinks as the sun sets over the Bungles before returning to camp for dinner.
Overnight and dinner: Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge
Day 3: Bungle Bungles to Fitzroy Crossing (BLD)
Departing early from the camp travel to Fitzroy Crossing, breaking en route at Halls Creek to learn about Western Australia’s first gold rush town and see the amazing China Wall.  Arriving at Geikie Gorge, enjoy a picnic lunch before joining the National Park Ranger for a fascinating cruise along the gorge and spot sea fossils, crocodiles, exotic birds and other native animals. At Geikie Gorge you also have the option to take a longer 2 hour Darngku Heritage Cruise hosted by local Bunuba Aboriginal Cultural guides, who provide a fascinating insight into Aboriginal culture, Dreamtime stories, bush tucker, animal tracks, traditional plant use and cultural practices (additional expense, upgrade available while on tour).  Return to Fitzroy Crossing for a BBQ dinner and overnight stay at the Fitzroy River Lodge.
Overnight and BBQ dinner: Fitzroy River Lodge (furnished Safari Cabin with private en suite)
Day 4: Fitzroy Crossing to Broome (BL)
After breakfast your adventure takes you along the famous Gibb River Road, once used as the main stock route for the region.  Stop at Tunnel Creek and take an exciting walk through the amazing 750 metre long flooded tunnel, wading through knee to thigh high water in some sections, and hear the story of Jandamarra.  After a short drive we then stop at spectacular Windjana Gorge, which is also a great freshwater crocodile spotting site. Time for a picnic lunch here before travelling back to Broome via the historic town of Derby, home of Australia’s largest tides.  Stop for afternoon tea at one of the Kimberley's most famous landmarks, the Prison Boab Tree, once used to hold convicts.  Here you can also see Myalls Bore, a 120 metre long trough built in the early 1900s and used to water up to 1,000 head of cattle at one time, before you arrive back in Broome at around 7.00pm.
