This Kakadu camping safari, departing from and returning to Darwin, is designed for those wanting a comfortable but adventurous small group tour (max 15 people).  You sleep in tented safari accommodation with proper beds, linen, towels, fans and lighting.  The toilet and shower facilities are shared and park entry fees are extra.  
If you'd still prefer to sleep indoors, standard grade motel accommodation with en suite is also available.

Itinerary: 2 night / 3 day - Kakadu 'Safari in Style'
Highlights:   Litchfield National Park, Aboriginal Cultural Experience, Kakadu National Park, Twin Falls, Corroborree, Billabong Cruise, Gunlom Falls, Ubirr Rock, Twin share Safari style accommodation (twin share tents with proper beds, all linen, pillows, towels and fans), wine with evening meals, experienced tour guide
NOTE:
Itinerary will vary according to seasonal conditions and the closure of Twin and Jim Jim Falls in the wet season (summer) from December to May.  Other attractions of interest will be substituted. 
 
Winter Season  (June-November)
Departs: Darwin Mon, Tue, Thu and Sat at 6.30 am.  Returns evening.  4 - 15 passengers
Day 1:
  Darwin to Point Stuart
Leaving Darwin, head south to the magical Litchfield National Park to experience the stunning waterfalls that flow all year round. Visit Florence Falls where there is a chance to walk through rainforest or swim in the plunge pool below. Experience the natural spa at Buley Rockhole and a refreshing swim at Wangi Falls. You will also discover the impressive termite mounds that are scattered throughout the park. This afternoon head to Pudakul Cultural Experience where you will meet some of the local Aboriginal people and learn about their culture, bush tucker, art and craft.

Kakadu National Park is World Heritage listed for its natural features and housing the world’s oldest living culture. Journey deep into Kakadu National Park with a chance for a swim this morning. For the adventurous, put your hiking shoes on and head to the top of Gunlom Falls where you will be rewarded with stunning views over Kakadu and amazing clear pools. For those who want a more relaxed stroll the base of the waterfall offers the chance for a swim, surrounded by paperbark trees and the cliff face. Gain further insight into the Aboriginal culture at the Warradjan Cultural Centre where you can read some of the dreamtime stories. Get ready for some 4WD action as you head into Twin Falls. Access to the falls is via a short boat trip and walk over rocks to relax on the beach surrounded by the spectacular sandstone cliff faces.  Overnight safari accommodation in the heart of Kakadu. Jim Jim Falls © Tourism Northern Territory Day 3:  Kakadu to Darwin
Start the day wandering through the ancient rock art galleries at Ubirr before climbing up the rocks to a lookout with 360 degree views over the floodplains and Kakadu wetlands. Relax about a three hour boat cruise on Corroboree Billabong where you will experience life on the billabong, which is extremely photogenic, home to amazing birdlife, water lilies and the infamous saltwater crocodile. On your return journey to Darwin there is a chance to gain further insight of our wetlands ecosystem with a stop at the Windows in the Wetlands Information Centre. (BL)

Day 1
Litchfield National Park - Fogg Dam Nature Reserve - Aboriginal Corroborree. Overnight safari accommodation at Point Stuart. (LD)
Day 2
Wildlife Cruise - Ubirr - Bowali Visitor Centre - Gubara Springs walk. Overnight safari accommodation in Kakadu NP. (BLD)
Day 3
Nourlangie Rock - Cathedral Termite Mounds - Boulder Creek - Motor Car Falls - return to Darwin. (BL)

NOTE:  The itinerary may vary due to seasonal conditions and national park and traditional owner requirements.  An additional fee may be incurred to cover the cost of the Twin Falls boat transfer (approx A$12) which will be set by Kakadu National Park.

The accommodation is in permanent campsites in purpose-built tents with wooden floors, twin-share beds, full linen, electric lights, fans and separate bathroom facilities with hot showers.
The tour also includes gourmet food, with a focus on fresh native bush ingredients, freshly brewed coffee in real cups and quality Australian wines served with dinner. Limited passenger numbers ensure attentive service.

Transport is provided in purpose-built vehicles that feature comfortable forward-facing seats, large windows and air-conditioning.  4 - 15 passengers
