About The Essential 3 Day Red Centre Tour
Because of the high cost of maintaining hotels in an extremely remote area, accommodation in the Red Centre is expensive and usually camping in a large group is the only budget option available.  However, this great value accommodated 2 night/3 day tour  provides a civilised way of exploring the highlights of the Red Centre.  Choose between standard en suite hotel accommodation or budget lodge style with shared facilities.  You'll still only be in a small group of a maximum of 15 passengers.  The highlights of the tour include -
  • 2 nights accommodation in Standard Hotel Room (en suite) or Budget Lodge (shared facilities) to suit your budget
  • See Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Gosse Bluff, Wallace Rockhole Aboriginal Community, Mereenie Wilderness Area
  • Small group accommodated adventures – maximum 15 travellers
  • Active itineraries including bush walking and swimming
  • Outback touring not highway touring – Red Centre Way
  • Visit aboriginal communities
  • Experienced and qualified local naturalist driver/guide
  • 1 driver/guide only - not 7 drivers in 3 days
  • Full coach reclining seats - for your comfort

INFORMATION ABOUT THE RED CENTRE

Alice Springs is at the heart of the Red Centre and lies 450 km north east of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, the centre piece of which is Uluru, previously known as Ayers Rock.  Within this vast park are many Aboriginal sacred sites, spectacular scenery and rock formations.  Short and extended tours leave from Alice Springs - within our 'Self Drive' section we have a Route which takes in Glen Helen Gorge en route to Uluru.  There is a lot to see around Alice Springs and it is well worth spending several days here to take advantage of some of the day and extended tours on offer.  At Uluru the accommodation is all in a purpose built resort area about 12 kms from the Rock, on the edge of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
