| The maximum group size is 10 persons and
each evening participants return to the stunning Friendly Beaches Lodge to be
treated to a
contemporary menu of exceptional Tasmanian produce and wine.
The Friendly Beaches Lodge has won Australian architecture awards for its design and it is set in 130 hectares of private coastal bushland surrounded by the incomparable beauty of Freycinet National Park. The Friendly Beaches Lodge is a true environmental lodge: solar power, waterless toilets and rainwater tanks ensure that it leaves a very light footprint on the environment. No one else except the four staff and fellow walkers (maximum 10)
will be at the lodge - a special place to truly unwind. |

Freycinet National Park |

| The park is on the spectacular, untamed
east coast of Tasmania, located south of the 42 degrees south latitude line. Its classic temperate maritime climate is influenced by the moods of the sea. The coastline boasts pristine beaches, numerous bluffs, arches and sea caves. Pink granite is polished by the sea and orange lichens cover the rocks. Freycinet National Park is a haven for a diversity of birds and wildlife. quolls, wombats, black swans and sea eagles are among the creatures that thrive on the protected peninsula. Seals, dolphins and whales can be spotted in the park’s waters. |

Friendly Beaches Lodge |

| Set in 130 hectares of private land
surrounded by the Freycinet National Park, the lodge is the only
building on Friendly Beaches - blissful isolation! The lodge
is a winner of national awards from the Royal Australian Institute of
Architects for its sustainable design. It is constructed of
Tasmanian plantation hardwood and rests lightly within coastal bushland. Friendly Beaches Lodge is not connected to mains water or the electricity grid - pure rainwater is collected in tanks and the power is solar. The toilets are composting and all food waste is recycled. The environmentally responsible design and operation gives guest luxury without harm - sun and rain provide your comfort. Meals are freshly prepared and healthy contemporary fare of exceptional quality. The included wines are from a range of Tasmania's finest. |

Experience the wonders of Freycinet on a fully guided trek along deserted beaches, up pink granite monoliths and through the heart of the rich native
heath lands returning each night to the beautiful and secluded Friendly Beaches Lodge. Here you will enjoy fine food, Tasmanian wines, a warm shower and wonderful company in the peaceful surrounds of Friendly Beaches.
A reasonable (but not exceptional) degree of fitness is needed to
participate. |

Day One: The group will depart from Hobart at 8.30 am sharp for Coles Bay and
then enjoy a boat cruise along the length of the Freycinet Peninsula - visiting Schouten Island for a picnic lunch and a light walk up Bear Hill.
There will an opportunity to fish for flathead guided by the captain’s lifelong experience in the waters off the Freycinet Coast. Guests are
then transported Friendly Beaches Lodge to relax and enjoy a dinner of fresh fish and Tasmanian wine. Walking Time 2 hours; distance 3 km |

Day Two: Walkers are transferred early from Friendly Beaches Lodge to Coles Bay
for an enjoyable boat trip to Cooks Beach. From there walkers may take on the challenge of hiking to the spectacular summit of Mt Graham
(579m) or take a peaceful walk through heath lands and forests and along Hazards Beach with
hooded dotterels and hermit crabs. Both walks arrive at the world renowned Wineglass Bay late in the afternoon. You are then transferred to Friendly Beaches Lodge via a small coach to enjoy a refreshing shower before drinks and dinner listening to the crashing waves of Friendly Beaches. Day Three: Walkers are transferred by 4 wheel drive to Bluestone Bay.
Explore White Water Walls and Little Bluestone Bay before climbing to the
Bluestone Bay cliff tops and heading off through bush and heath land to
eventually arrive at the beautiful Friendly Beaches. Walk along the beach to arrive at Friendly Beaches Lodge where cool drinks and homemade afternoon tea await you before a well
deserved sumptuous meal. Walking time 6 hours; distance: 12 km |

Day Four: Guests have a choice of early morning guided walks around Friendly Beaches, fishing or just relaxing in the lodge library or on the beach. After a delicious brunch guests walk out of the Lodge and along Friendly Beaches to Isaac’s Point where
you are collected to return by bus to Hobart by approximately 5.30pm. Walking time 3 hours; distance: 6 km |
