Escorted day rainforest walk with professional guide

Departs: Cairns 8.00am, Northern Beaches 7.30am daily
Returns: Cairns 6.00pm, Northern Beaches 6.30pm

Maximum 12 people.  A multi-lingual day walking around various sites in the Wooroonooran National Park, with an English, Italian and German speaking naturalist guide. Involves about 6 hours out of the transfer vehicle.
  
Travel off the beaten track with your naturalist guide who will take you to the best sites in and around the World Heritage listed Wooroonooran National Park.   
See Eubenangee Swamp, surrounded by rainforest, grasslands and paperbark forest which attract a wide range of bird species. Then on to Johnstone River Crocodile and Snake Farm  where you will also see the unique native rainforest bird, the cassowary as well as emus and kangaroos. A buffet lunch is served at the Central Tavern Restaurant in Innisfail.  Continue to Josephine Falls (pictured), located at the foot of the Mt Bartle Frere, Queensland's highest mountain (1622m). Here you have the opportunity to swim or snorkel in a magnificent pool surrounded by giant Penda trees or take the plunge in the exciting natural rockslide. 
The mysterious Babinda Boulders are located between Queensland's two highest mountains. In this area several rainforest creeks form a spectacular gorge, alongside cascading waterfalls and swimming holes. 
Travel on to the former site of a gold rush and former home of the Malanbarra Clan - Goldsborough Valley.  
Return  to Cairns via the Mulgrave River, stopping at Kearney's Falls lookout.
