Here are some of Maui's service benefits. |

Safe on the road with Maui |
| You can drive all the way around Australia on Highway One or through the middle from Adelaide to Darwin on bitumen-sealed roads and round and about on well maintained roads. The Vast Continent |
| Most of all, travellers are unaware of the sheer distances from one destination to the next on this huge continent. Check beforehand for the time required to travel to the places of your choice. You should not plan on driving more than 300 kilometres a day, and fill up on petrol before it gets too low, as distances between petrol stations in more remote areas can be considerable. However, you have the Maui back up service and there is nothing to fear if you prepare well and use common sense. Here are a few tips: | |
Climate |
| Australian seasons are the opposite of those in Europe and North America.
It is hot in December, and midwinter is in July and August. The climactic
extremes aren't too severe in most parts, however the Red Centre is a typical
desert climate - hot during the day and cold at night. In the far north you
enter the monsoon belt, where it is either hot and wet (usually Christmas
through to Easter) or hot and dry. |
