 MAUI - Spirit 2 Motorhome Specification

Maui's smallest motorhome is cleverly designed to make the maximum use of space.  The Spirit 2 has either a pop-up or high-top roof design creating an airy spacious feel when you're relaxing in your living area.  It is also fully equipped for cooking, dining, and sleeping.  It has its own gas cooker with griller, a fridge freezer, a fresh water tank, hot water capacity, and ample storage.  There are fly screens on all 5 windows in the back, and air-conditioning in the driving cab.
There iss a radio/ cassette in the cab and speakers front and back. Although there is no bathroom or toilet, a hand held shower is supplied so you could bathe in the great outdoors!
The gas cooker is fully portable in the Pop-top design and must be used outside the vehicle making it ideal for a beach barbecue whilst the High-top design is equipped with a fixed interior cooker.
The couch folds out at night into a comfortable double bed.
Please note: Maui has two Spirit 2 designs on fleet, the High-top and Pop-top. Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only be vehicle type (eg. Spirit 2, Spirit 4).

Driving
  • Seating Configuration: Seatbelts for three in the front driving cab.
  • Baby Seat Fitting: Can be fitted on rear seats facing forward in the Pop-top design whilst the Hitop design has two child seat anchor points in the front driver's cabin. Booster seats can be fitted using standard seatbelts. Baby & Booster seats have to be pre-booked, otherwise cannot be guaranteed.
  • Radio/Cassette: Radio/cassette player, speakers only in driving cab.
  • Cigarette Lighter: 12V, which is suitable to charge up video camera batteries.
  • Fuel: Petrol only: 68 litre tank.
  • Fuel Consumption: Approximately 8 km per litre, 12 litres per 100 km. This may vary, subject to use of air-conditioning, temperature and terrain.
  • Fuel Price in Australia: : Varies from AU$0.90 cents to A$1.20 per litre, depending on town of purchase.
    Engine Specifications: 2.4 litre, petrol.
  • Transmission: Manual, 5 speed.
  • Power Equipment: Power steering, power assisted brakes.
  • Tyres: Tyre pressure should be checked regularly.
  • Spare Tyre: The spare tyre is located under rear of the vehicle. External access only.
  • Tools: The tool kit is located behind the driver's seat.

Living
  • Sleeping configuration: One double bed 1.85m x 1.50m, 1 single bed 1.95m x 1.20m. Single suitable for child up to 38 kilograms.
  • Fridge Freezer: The fridge operates on 12V battery whilst driving and on 240V mains when plugged in at a campground. The fridge will automatically switch over between the two supplies. Fridge capacity 55litre.
  • Gas Cooker: 2 ring cooker with griller ignited by match. (Pop-top vehicle is equipped with portable cooker to be used outside the vehicle only.)
  • Gas Bottle: A 2kg bottle. Bottle has an 'ON/OFF' tap on it. Please ensure it is in 'OFF' position when not in use and when driving.
  • Microwave: The microwave operates from 240V only so the vehicle must be plugged into mains power to operate. (Not all Spirit 2's are fitted with a microwave.)
  • Water Heater: Water heats using a heat exchange system whilst driving. Hot water is provided after the vehicle has been running for at least 20 minutes. The water heater operates on 240V when plugged in at camping ground.
  • Fresh Water Tank: Capacity is 35 litres (50 litres in Pop-top model). . The filler cap is located on the passenger side of the vehicle marked 'WATER' and the filler hose is in the wardrobe.
  • Grey Water Tank: Not applicable. Bucket is provided for waste water collection.
    Lighting: Interior lights operate off both 12V batteries and 240V mains supply.
  • Air Conditioning/Heating:: 240V fan/heater is available for rental with the Spirit 2 for A$11.00 per day. This operates only when plugged in at camping ground. No air-conditioning in living area.
  • Power Supply: 240V mains and 12V battery. The 240V mains power operates when the exterior power cable is plugged in at a campground. One 12V battery, one for starting the engine and for domestic 12V system. This system includes water pump and fridge. The battery is recharged by engine alternator.
  • Storage: Ample cupboard space, storage under seats at rear of vehicle and hanging wardrobe. Additional luggage storage is available at Maui Branches.
  • Fly Screens: Placed on all windows in living area.
  • Flooring: Easy to care for linoleum.
  • Internal Access: No internal access is provided between driver's cabin and rear cabin.
  • Exterior Access: Back door. No exterior doorstep and sliding door on the side.
