Getting about by AIR in South Australia

International and domestic flights operate from Adelaide Airport www.aal.com.au only 7km west of the city. Domestic airlines that operate into and out of South Australia are Qantas www.qantas.com.au, Virgin Blue www.virginblue.com.au, Jetstar www.jetstar.com.au, and Rex Regional Airlines www.regionalairlines.com.au.  More recently the Asian carrier Tiger Airways www.tigerairways.com have been offering domestic flights in and out of Adelaide.

Getting about by TRAIN or COACH (Bus) in South Australia

Although rail services are rather limited throughout South Australia, two of the world’s great journeys touch Adelaide. The Ghan operates between Adelaide and Darwin via Alice Springs whilst the Indian Pacific passes through Adelaide on its epic trip between Perth and Sydney. Additionally The Overland operates between Adelaide and Melbourne. The interstate train station is at Keswick on the outskirts of the city. Adelaide’s five suburban train routes operate from a central terminal near the casino.
