Queensland is known both as Australia’s holiday state and its sunshine state. After Sydney, Queensland is a place that most visitors, including Australians from the other states, want to see.
Because of its vast size Queensland has a number of important regional centres, with Brisbane in the south and Cairns in the north the main gateways for visitors. The tourism infrastructure is well organised and the largely benign sub tropical and tropical weather aids the feel good factor that visitors invariably get.
