Day 1: Perth - Geraldton (approx. 425 km)
Collect your hire vehicle in Perth then take the Great Northern Highway
through the Swan Valley wine region to Bullsbrook. Then turn left onto
the Brand Highway and continue northwards through the towns of Gingin,
Cataby, Eneabba, Dongara. and then on to Geraldton, the second largest
town in Western Australia. It is a popular local holiday centre
surrounded by agricultural countryside and has good beaches, as can be
seen with Pages Beach and Point Moore Lighthouse (pictured).

Day 2: Geraldton - Monkey Mia (approx. 430 km)
Today drive from Geraldton to Monkey Mia. The Resort is located on a
unique section of World Heritage coastline, 27km from the town of Denham,
with an excellent sealed road right to its door. The north facing
resort is sheltered from the prevailing breeze and its main attraction
is regular daily visits from wild dolphins who come to the
beach to be fed, watched over by rangers.
Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort for 2 nights (including
breakfast.
Day 3: Monkey Mia
Day at leisure at Monkey Mia.
Have breakfast with the dolphins (unless exceptional conditions do not
permit this) and then later you can visit the cliff top lookout at Eagle Bluff
and Hamlin Pool where you'll see the intriguing stromatolites
(fossilized mounds of algae and sediment).

Day 4: Monkey Mia - Kalbarri (approx. 395 km)
Leave Monkey Mia and drive south to Kalbarri where you can explore the
spectacular gorges of the Kalbarri National Park. In the
evening there is an opportunity to enjoy some of Australia's
finest seafood
Overnight: Best Western Kalbarri Palms Resort (including
continental breakfast)

Day 5: Kalbarri - Perth
(approx. 591 km)
This morning, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before
leaving Kalbarri no later than 10.00am to arrive back in Perth by
dusk. Return via Geraldton, travelling through sheep station
country and wheat farming land. Continue your journey south along
the coastal sand plains to arrive in Perth in the early evening. You can return your car this evening, or tomorrow
morning no later
than the time that you collected it on Day 1.
