Day 1
Collect your rental vehicle in Sydney and drive to
the Hunter Valley, one of Australia's most famous wine producing areas.
Overnight:

Day 2
Leave your accommodation in the Hunter Valley and drive to Port Stephens
(the Marina at Nelson Bay is pictured)
Overnight:
Standard - Salamander Shores (Sea View Room)
Superior - Peppers Anchorage (Anchorage Room)
Day 3
Today drive from Port Stephens to Coffs Harbour, with opportunities to
take coastal detours off the Pacific Highway. At Urunga, where the
Kalang and Bellinger Rivers meet, a walk along the wooden
boardwalk is an easy and interesting excursion - see picture at
top of page.
Overnight:

Day 4
Continue your coastal drive from Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay, where Cape
Byron is the most
easterly point of mainland Australia. A diversion en route
to pretty Red Rock is well worthwhile - see picture below.
