Day 1 
12:00hrs. At noon you will be picked up from your hotel for your transfer to Walhalla Historic Township. En route you will travel through the green rolling hills of Gippsland before climbing into the Victorian Alps where gold once lured thousands of prospectors. Your destination is Walhalla, a town of less than 20 residents that once was home to over 3,000 people! Spend the afternoon soaking up the unique atmosphere of this beautiful mountain village. Dinner at Parker's Restaurant at Walhalla's Star Hotel.

Day 2 
After breakfast the day is yours to explore and discover the many delights of Walhalla. Journey deep underground on a tour of the Long Tunnel Extended Goldmine. Take a trip back in time on the Walhalla Goldfields Railway, a narrow gauge mountain railway, as it winds its way up Stringers Creek Gorge. Visit the Walhalla Cemetery perched on the side of a mountain
or do a self-guided walk of the village seeing the many historic buildings and sites. Dinner at Parker's Restaurant at Walhalla's Star Hotel.

Day 3 
Take an early morning stroll along the main street keeping and eye out for the wildlife that makes Walhalla its home. Lyrebirds, wallabies and wombats are just a small selection of the animals you are likely to see. Following a relaxed breakfast you will be transferred back to Melbourne arriving at approx. 12:00hrs.

MOUNT SAINT GWINEAR CROSS COUNTRY SKI PACKAGE
July and August - includes 2 nights accommodation
  
Cross country ski to the summit of Mt St Gwinear (1509m) through beautiful Australian alpine scenery on the Baw Baw Plateau. The summit is approx. 2.5 kms from the St. Gwinear car park - a steep climb, but well worth the view from the top. Keep an eye out for wombats and other native animals along the way.   The snow season on Mt St. Gwinear is from late June until early September. In summer the trail is an excellent bush walking track.   Mt. St. Gwinear is 45 minutes from Walhalla.
If snow conditions do not allow for cross country skiing, a 4 hour guided bush walk with bush tucker lunch will be substituted.

* 1 day Cross Country Ski Hire (skis, boots, poles) and Snow Chains
NOTE: National Park entrance fee of approx. A$10 per vehicle is not included
