hotels in the world by American Food and Wine Magazine in 1998. The newly restored barn provides Thorn Park Country House with a dedicated area for conferences and functions. | David Hay has had many years experience in preparing food. His training as an interior designer has given him an eye for fine detail. David has a great love of fresh produce and an innate sense and flair in food
preparation. Mine host Michael Speers has had many years experience as both an art teacher and an actor and is much loved by the Thorn Park guests for his style in making them feel welcome and at home during their stay.

 Michael Speers was a Senior Art Master with the South Australian Education Department and also held a State-wide brief as a Specialist Arts Adviser for three years .It is this extensive experience and a personal love of art that has allowed Thorn Park to offer Art Classes to guests and visitors alike. Whether you are a first-time learner or have some knowledge, Michael is a most endearing and entertaining teacher. Michael's own Art Studio, and indeed Thorn Park itself, contain numerous beautiful works by both Michael and other artists. |
