Climate and what to wear at Daintree Eco Lodge ...
There are two seasons: the temperate dry season (April to December) and the "greening" wet season (January to March). The area is the perfect year round destination and because of its position in a lush rainforest valley, Daintree Eco Lodge enjoys its own microclimate, where temperatures are considerably cooler than other areas in the tropics. Average temperatures range from 20° - 30° Celsius with 60% of the rainfall between October to May and 40% from June to September.

Loose, light clothing, coupled with sandshoes/runners make perfect attire for daytime Resort wear. Smart casual attire is suitable for evenings in Bilngkumu Restaurant. There is a well stocked boutique at the Resort with a range of suitable clothing.

Accommodation at Daintree Eco Lodge ...
At Daintree Eco Lodge there are only 15 exclusive rainforest villas occupying secluded positions amongst the world's oldest living rainforest.   Each air conditioned villa is fully micro-screened and has an en suite bathroom, satellite TV, latest in-house videos, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and some feature their own private balcony jacuzzi.
Villas are ideally suited to 2 adults or 2 adults and a child.

Dining at Daintree Eco Lodge ...
Bilngkumu Restaurant
Bilngkumu Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The menus are innovative and make full use of fresh produce from the surrounding area.  Bush tucker and ginger collected on the property are used to create sensational meals and there is a light and healthy spa cuisine for those watching their waistlines.

Bilngkumu Restaurant, with its balcony terrace overlooking the peaceful fresh water lagoon, is accessible from the individual rainforest villas via elevated boardwalks through the lush rainforest. It is crafted to compliment the rainforest setting and reflects the serenity of the fresh water stream flowing beneath.

The name "Bilngkumu" is the local Ku Ku Yalanji Aboriginal word for crocodile and a large wooden crocodile hand painted by Aboriginal artist Verity Gurruwwiwi is featured in the restaurant. Other authentic Aboriginal artifacts are also displayed in the restaurant and are available for purchase.

Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa takes advantage of the pure natural spring water which originates from the property's own pristine waterfall. This water provides total supply for guest usage and resort operations and is regularly tested by the authorities as the purest water in the region. This water is bottled on the property and served as Daintree Rainforest Water.

Activities at Daintree Eco Lodge ...
Guided interpretative rainforest walks and traditional Aboriginal cultural performances provide a glimpse into the life and culture of the world's oldest race.

Take a refreshing swim in the undercover solar heated swimming pool or enjoy the simple beauty of the rainforest whilst lazing on the sundeck or experiencing a soothing massage.
