A
sheep and cattle property located 40 km from Canberra, Australia's
national capital, Avalanche has been operating as a rural retreat
since the late 1980's. The property has won Australian and
local Canberra tourism awards and has received international recognition for its quality of service, hospitality and personal service.
The main homestead sits on the spur of a mountain overlooking a valley
and affording truly spectacular views. Whilst having a drink in the gazebo next to the large
pool, guests can watch wild kangaroos hopping out of the hills in the evening.
All the bedrooms have private bathrooms, king/queen or extra large twin beds and
are tastefully furnished. The lounge and dining area of
the homestead is a baronial hall furnished with the finest Australian leather seats, antique French polished Australian wooden tables, antique solid silver tableware, original
oil paintings and a great selection of early Australian books in the library. |
