When you travel on the Sunlander train, in a Queenslander Class cabin, you will be treated to a premium cruise on wheels.  Relax and admire the beauty of Queensland from your window on a 31 hour journey that you will long remember.

  • Departs BRISBANE to Cairns on Sun at 8.55 am arrives in Cairns at 4.15 pm the next day.
  • Departs BRISBANE to Cairns on Thu at 1.25 pm arrives in Cairns at 7.15 pm the next day
  • Departs BRISBANE on Tuesdays at 8.55 am without Queenslander Class
  • Departs CAIRNS to Brisbane on Tue and Sat at 9.15 am arrives in Brisbane at 3.55 pm the next day
  • Departs CAIRNS Thursdays at 8.35 am without Queenslander Class

About the Sunlander
Rather than flying from Brisbane to Cairns, why not spend two days relaxing on the Sunlander watching the varied panorama of Queensland slip by your window, including the Glasshouse Mountains, cane fields and lush rainforest. 
The following grades of accommodation are offered:

Queenslander Class - premium accommodation in a twin berth cabin, including excellent meals taken in an exclusive restaurant car, entertainment, local commentary and a host of special touches such as comfy bathrobes and slippers.  The dining experience is a highlight for Queenslander Class, with all passengers enjoying excellent three course meals using the freshest local produce. The comfortable twin sleeper cabins are equipped with reading lights, linen, towels and wash basin.  Toilet and shower facilities are located at the end of each carriage.  Single cabins are not available.
First Class - First Class berths accommodate two people with fold-down beds complete with fresh linen, a washbasin, wardrobe and much more. Meals are not included.
Economy - the other styles of travel on The Sunlander include single, double and triple berths and seats. Meals are not included.

All passengers have access to club and buffet cars for meals and refreshments, and a range of facilities.
