The Ghan runs between Darwin and Adelaide (and reverse) twice a week
in each direction. The Indian Pacific runs between Sydney-Adelaide-Perth (and reverse). Note that most connections between the Indian Pacific, the Overland and the Ghan necessitate a stopover in Adelaide - see Timetable below. Time to spare in Adelaide? For a range of touring options in South Australia departing from Adelaide... The Overland runs between Melbourne and Adelaide (and reverse) as a daylight service in each direction and no longer directly connects with the Ghan. Passengers to/from Melbourne will need to stay in Adelaide before making their connection. Arrivals in Alice Springs will be 1 hour earlier than shown during summer daylight savings time.

The station in Darwin is approximately 20 minutes south of the
city. Gold Kangaroo service includes a complimentary transfer to

Red Service passengers pay approximately A$9 per adult and approximately A$4.50 per child for one way coach transfers. |
