Cruise the entire length of the South Australian section of the River Murray from Wellington, where the Murray enters Lake Alexandrina before reaching the sea, to Border Cliffs, near to the border with Victoria.  Travel on a new, spacious catamaran cruiser which takes a maximum of 36 passengers, exploring the river by day and dining and sleeping in comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation overnight.  Guests usually include a mix of internationals and Aussies and the cruises are a great way of meeting new friends.
At the end of the voyage you disembark at Renmark where a coach returns you to your starting point. The itinerary can also be reversed.  Coach transfers between Adelaide and Wellington can be booked if required.
You can also cruise on the Murray from Renmark to Mildura.

About the Great Murray Adventure - Wellington to the Victorian Border (or reverse)
The 560km journey begins at Wellington on the edge of Lake Alexandrina and heads north to Border Cliffs, 60km upstream from Renmark, near the border with Victoria.
Spirit of the Murray moored on the Murray River A maximum of 36 passengers will travel in the modern, fully equipped Spirit of the Murray vessel, with its spacious upper deck providing the perfect vantage point as the boat passes towering cliffs, sleepy lagoons and Red Gum forests. 
Each day, the boat will stop at an historic river town for lunch, while dinner, bed and breakfast will be provided at other towns along the way. 
Towns en route include Mannum, Swan Reach, Morgan, Waikerie, Overland Corner, Loxton, Berri, Renmark and Border Cliffs. Detailed histories will be offered on the river and its many communities and all passengers will receive a complimentary book, Murray River Pilot, a comprehensive look at the Murray River in South Australia.
Passengers will be picked up by coach at the end of the journey at Border Cliffs and returned to Wellington. Alternatively, the tour can be offered in reverse, running from Renmark to Wellington with a return coach to Renmark.  
Transfers between Wellington and Adelaide and  car parking at Wellington are also available.

Great Murray River Adventure Itinerary
A bend of the Murray River in South AustraliaDeparts Wellington, South Australia (transfers from Adelaide hotels) 
DAY 1
Depart Wellington cruising through Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge.Cruise through a dairying area with willows and enjoy lunch at the historic town of Mannum.  In the afternoon,  cruise past Bowhill and Walkers Flat., stopping at Devon Downs for an Aboriginal tour.  Coach transfer to Mannum. Overnight:  Mannum, dinner, bed and breakfast

DAY 2
Return by coach to the boat.  Cruise past Swan Reach through Lock 1 to Blanchetown.  Lunch is at the old River Port of Morgan and then the day continues cruising past Cadell.  On through Lock 2, with overnight accommodation at Waikerie. 
Overnight:  Waikerie, dinner, bed and breakfast

DAY 3
Depart Waikerie and enjoy spectacular scenery before stopping for coach transfer to Banrock Station for morning tea and a tour.  Return by coach to the lovely old Overland Hotel at the edge of the Murray's floodplain for lunch.  Cruise by Kingston-on-Murray, Moorook and Cobdogla to tonight's destination, Loxton. 
Overnight:  Loxton Hotel, dinner, bed and breakfast

DAY 4
Depart Loxton, cruise through Kamakazi Flats, through Lock 4 and stop for lunch at Berri.  Then past Lyrup and on through Lock 5.  Your overnight accommodation tonight will be at Renmark where the well appointed Renmark Hotel  (pictured) overlooks the Murray.
Overnight:  Renmark Hotel, dinner, bed and breakfast

DAY 5 
Depart Renmark, cruising through spectacular Red Gum forests, then Chowilla Station and Lock 6.  
BBQ lunch being prepared on the banks of the Murray River Have a BBQ lunch at the end of your voyage on the banks at the old Customs House on the South Australian/Victorian border.Return to Wellington by coach or remain at Border Cliffs and continue with your own arrangements.
