| Claerwen Retreat
Guesthouse at Apollo Bay is spectacularly located high above the world at the end of a small winding
dirt road, about 15 minutes drive from the main
road. It is the highest point in the area, an old sacred Aboriginal site. All rooms have
wonderful views of the Great Ocean Road, the sea and the Otway Ranges.
The guesthouse is set in 130 scenic acres of
forest and bush land.

Claerwen is Welsh and means white, sparkling light like the reflection of the sun and moon on water.
The peaceful atmosphere is the essence of a stay at Claerwen Retreat.
Set amid tranquil parkland and fern gullies in the hills overlooking Apollo Bay, it combines
comfortable living with the healing experience of nature.
And once you have recovered your equilibrium, there are plenty of things to do. The Otway rainforests are waiting to be explored. Surf beaches like Moonlight Head and Johanna are close by and The Twelve Apostles are a year-round attraction.
Approximately 15 minutes drive away from the Great Ocean Road, Claerwen is
a
good base for tours along Victoria's dramatic west coast.
