views from the restaurant taking in the far North Queensland coast from
Double Island to Cape Tribulation, and from the sparkling waters of the
Great Barrier Reef to the World Heritage forests that cover the coastal
ranges. Whether strolling at sunrise on Thala Beach Lodge's private tropical
beach or relaxing with cocktails watching the sunset over the coastal
ranges, you will be enchanted by your surroundings. Thala Beach Lodge is host to more than 101 species of bird and 34 varieties of butterfly
and you will see many of these during meals at the restaurant, which looks into the treetops and out over the Coral Sea. |

property is one of the most lovely and private beach hotels in

bungalows up in the tree canopy, with private verandahs. Each has a stunning view of the exotic, tropical land and

Jungle Walk Bungalows
Nestled amongst the rainforest of Thala's peninsula, each room is
a bungalow, with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, private
veranda, TV, mini bar, shower and bath. A mix of Australian timber
and granite has been used throughout, creating an ambiance that
blends with the surrounding natural environment. Jungle walk
bungalows are furthest from the beach. A lodge containing the
Restaurant is also built on high poles, and offers uninterrupted
coastal views. For those not very mobile, buggy service is

Eucalypt Bungalows
Nestled among the natural eucalypt forest with majestic views of
world heritage mountain ranges. Eucalypt Bungalows capture the intimate
feel of the unique tropical forest. By day spectacular butterflies
and birds pass right by your balcony and on a still night you
might hear the cackle of the orange footed scrub fowl or the
distant howl of wild dingoes. There is nothing more memorable or
evocative of Australia's wild places. |

Coral Sea Bungalows
Spectacular views of the coastline and the Coral Sea. Each Coral Sea Bungalow has a spectacular view over the ocean yet is unobtrusively tucked away into the natural
landscape. From the seclusion of your verandah you might see
ospreys, giant manta rays, bryde's whales or a pod of rare Australian
snub fin dolphins that are commonly seen in the area. |

Sandpiper Suite
Located on the foremost point of the headland, overlooking the two
secluded beaches. Luxuriously furnished, the suite has a private
verandah, lounge room and spacious bedroom. The perfect location to
enjoy your honeymoon or special vacation. This is privacy and romance. |
