Itinerary:  Fraser Island - 2 day coach trip ex Brisbane
Departs Brisbane Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 7.00 am, returning to Brisbane at 6.00pm the next day

Day 1
Travelling north from Brisbane you will pass the Glass House Mountains before arriving at Rainbow Beach, at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast.  From Rainbow Beach your 4WD travels along the beach to meet the ferry at Inskip Point, from where it is a short ferry ride to the southern tip of Fraser Island.
Next, head for Seventy Five Mile Beach and find yourselves a nice spot to enjoy a fresh picnic lunch before continuing northwards up the eastern (ocean side) beach of Fraser Island to Eli Creek, a fast flowing freshwater stream flowing down onto the beach. Take the boardwalk to the top of the creek and let yourself relax and float back down this picturesque stream. (Don't forget your swimming things!)
The next stop is Lake Wabby, the deepest lake on Fraser Island.  There is a 20 min walking track from the parking spot to the lake through lush coastal heath and thick eucalypt forest and the return walk goes through the Hammerstone Sandblow.
At the end of the day you'll be taken to Eurong Beach Resort to check into your accommodation before enjoying a buffet dinner in the resort's restaurant.
Overnight:  Eurong Beach Resort

fantastic 1 hour walk along the clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek to learn about Fraser Island’s timber history.
Next you are off to Lake Birrabeen, one of Fraser Island’s beautiful crystal clear lakes where you have plenty of time to swim, relax, sunbathe and enjoy a picnic style lunch.  After lunch, head through the forest roads back to the southern end of Fraser Island for the ferry to Rainbow beach and a mid afternoon departure back to Brisbane.
