ITINERARY: Sydney to Melbourne via Canberra
This 3 day premium escorted tour visits Canberra, the Snowy Mountains and the Kosciuszko National Park on its journey from Sydney to Melbourne. The Melbourne to Sydney tour is the reverse of the itinerary shown ...

Day 1 Tuesday: Sydney - Canberra 
Depart Sydney at 8.00am. Begin your journey to the nation's cpital via the Southern Highlands with a stop at historic Berrima, famous for its gaol, and visit a working sheep farm with Aussie barbecue lunch.  Travel onwards to Canberra, you will tour through Parliament House and visit the Australian War Memorial before enjoying a welcome drink and dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Day 2 Wednesday: Canberra - Snowy Mountains - Beechworth 
Cooma, and the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme, fstart your day, before getting the option to take a ride on the Mt Kosciuszko chairlift and experience Australia's highest point. You'll be awestruck by the picturesque Kosciuszko National Park - home to mobs of kangaroos - as we travel the Alpine Way over the mighty Murray River into Victoria and beautiful Beechworth.  Victoria's best preserved gold rush town, for your unique overnight stay in one of the Bed and Breakfast properties.

This morning we take a sightseeing tour of historic Beechworth with time to explore the galleries, gardens, antique and gift shops, also  visit Beechworth Bakery with its fresh pastries and sweets  Later you will see the museum then it's on through Glenrowan and Ned Kelly country to culturally diverse and cosmopolitan Melbourne. - transfers to Melbourne Airport are available.
