The Kimberley region is remote, unspoiled and full of impressive Aboriginal heritage sites.  It is one of the world's finest wilderness destinations, and is only now being 'discovered'.  Access is usually via one of the 2 main towns, Broome and Kununurra.  Broome is on a magnificent stretch of coast, including Cable Beach (pictured above), only 18 degrees south of the equator and is a major centre for cultured pearl farming.  Kununurra (pictured below),1100 kms inland to the east, is surrounded by spectacular ranges and sits beside Lake Kununurra and the Ord River, with huge Lake Argyle nearby.
