Day 1: Arrive in Darwin. Seat in coach shuttle transfer to your
chosen hotel for the night Day 2: Depart Darwin and travel into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and gain an insight into the cultural and historical significance the park holds for its traditional owners. Join a guided boat cruise on Yellow Water, Kakadu's most famous wetland area. Keep a look out for the powerful saltwater crocodiles, diverse birdlife and beautiful waterlilies. After lunch travel to Nourlangie art sites and view the ancient galleries of artwork. The unique x-ray style works record the traditional cultures, changes and evolution of the land and people over the last 40,000 years.
Overnight in
Kakadu (Lunch is included) Day 3: This morning you may wish to take and optional scenic flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment (own expense). Travel to Ubirr to see superbly preserved Aboriginal rock art before joining an Aboriginal guide for a cruise on the East Alligator River. Learn of the flora, fauna, Aboriginal mythology and history of the region, and by special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre and stop at Window on the Wetlands for a glass of wine while watching the changing light of day over the wetlands. Arrive in Darwin 8.00pm.

make own way to Ghan station. Depart

'Boutique' or 'Small and Special' (normally these are 3.5 - 4.5
star ...) In Australia, the description 'Suite' does not necessarily mean
the accommodation has a separate bedroom.
MIRAMBEENA RESORT DARWIN Tourist/Standard. 225 rooms. Inner city resort with 2
pools and spas, mini golf, fitness centre, restaurant, poolside bar and
cafe. Three room types - motel rooms are very basic; deluxe rooms
are spacious, townhouses include a fully equipped kitchen. All
rooms are air-conditioned with TV and tea/coffee making.
NOVOTEL ATRIUM DARWIN
First Class/Superior. 138 rooms. Also on The Esplanade a short walk
from the city centre and opposite the harbour and overlooking
Bicentennial Park. Has bar, restaurant, pool, spa, BBQ
area. Rooms are air-conditioned with queen size beds - some
have harbour views.
CROWNE PLAZA DARWIN Superior. 233 rooms. The largest hotel in Darwin with a
central location. The rooms feature TV with two free in house
movie channels and CNN News, mini bar. Has free of charge fitness
club, swimming pool and spa and hairdressing salon.
KAKADU AURORA RESORT Tourist/Standard. 138 rooms. Set in 10 hectares of lush
bush land in Kakadu National Park. All rooms are
air-conditioned with patio or balcony. Has bar, cafe, restaurant,
spa, pool, tennis court, nature walks.
GAGUDJU CROCODILE HOLIDAY
INN First Class. 110 rooms. Unique hotel in
Kakadu National Park. Air-conditioned rooms also have ceiling
fans, TV. Has pool, bars, restaurants.
