You will be collected from your hotel in Hobart for a 3.5 hour drive to St Marys, with a quick stop in Campbell Town.  From St Marys you have a downhill run on the bikes right to sea level, regrouping on the beach at Scamander for a leisurely picnic lunch.  After lunch, back on the bikes and continue the 35km ride to St Helens.  Take a walk on the beach at the Bay of Fires and then cycle on to St Helens.  If you don’t quite have the energy, catch a lift in the van, or just ride part of the way.
Overnight: St Helens Bayside Inn or similar

Day 2  St Helens to Bicheno

Today you have two options:
Option one: ride the whole way from St Helens to Bicheno for a big 70km day (as described below), or
Option two: take the support van to Falmouth and ride to Bicheno from there for an easier 40km day

Blowhole near Bicheno After breakfast begin your cycle ride from St Helens along the coastline right on the waters edge.  Hug the coast and cycle through the seaside towns of Scamander, Beaumaris and Four Mile Creek and continue your ride past Chain of Lagoons with the ocean to your left and into Bicheno.  After lunch in Bicheno, enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the Douglas Apsley National Park, read a book beside the waterhole, and perhaps take a dip.
Two extra sightseeing tours are also available (own expense) - a wildlife park visit to meet Tasmanian Devils (own expense), and a penguin tour after dark  Alternatively you may wish to make your own way to the nearby blowhole.
