Spectacular diving near CairnsCairns is the diving capital of Australia. With easy access to the world wonder of the Great Barrier Reef, this part of Australia offers some of the most spectacular diving opportunities in the world for both beginners and experienced divers.   All the dive packages outlined below are operated by experienced professionals, using excellent vessels and equipment.  Safety is paramount.
  
PADI 5 DAY LEARN TO DIVE PACKAGE

Departs: Daily Monday to Saturday 
There truly is no better place in the world to learn to dive! The water temperature rarely drops below 22 degrees celsius and visibility is usually between 10 and 30 metres. Our training centre is located in the city of Cairns and features all modern facilities including Cairns' deepest diver training pool. 

The PADI 5-Day Learn to Dive course is broken down into two components:
 ~ 2 Days of pool and classroom training 
 ~ 3 Day/2 night liveaboard cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef 
 

ITINERARY - PADI 5 day learn to dive package:
Learn to dive training in Cairns DAYS 1 and 2
During the first two days, your instructor takes you through the theory of Scuba Diving and then into the pool where you put the basics into practice. At the end of day 2 you are invited to attend Reef Teach, a marine biology presentation about the Great Barrier Reef. This comprehensive two hour presentation will provide you with extra information to enhance your Great Barrier Reef experience. Entry to Reef Teach is at no extra charge to Cairns dive students. 
 
DAYS 3, 4, and 5 
Dive training vessel near Cairns Days 3, 4 and 5 are spent on board a dive vessel on the Great Barrier Reef. 
Whilst on the Great Barrier Reef, you will complete your 4 qualifying dives to conclude your PADI Open Water Certification. You are now able to enjoy 5 more dives as a recreational diver, one of which is a night dive guided by your instructor. These dives on the Great Barrier Reef will be truly spectacular and a memorable highlight of your course. 
Receive a PADI Open Water CertificationOn your return to Cairns, passengers and crew meet at a local restaurant to celebrate 
the conclusion of your Great Barrier Reef experience! 

Note: it is recommended that you do not fly within 24 hours of diving. The dive training staff will discuss this with you on your final day on board the diving vessel.

 ~Divers aged over 55 years need to obtain an Australian Standards medical form AS4005.
 5 Day Learn to Dive Prices
 
3 DAY / 2 NIGHT LIVE ABOARD DIVING
Certified Divers only
Departs: Weds, Thurs, Sat and Sun

ITINERARY:
Dive the Great Barrier ReefJoin the 3 day dive adventure and visit up to 4 easterly Outer Great Barrier Reef locations, taking in sites selected for their extravagance of marine life and excellent visibility.  These sites are rarely visited by other vessels, and divers get the opportunity to view magnificent hard and soft corals, giant clams, turtles, stingrays and the largest variety of tropical fish both large and small. The schedule allows for a total of 11 dives, 2 of which are night dives (conditions permitting), and unlimited snorkelling. Cabins on board are either twin or multi share with no difference in the cost. Twin cabins are allocated on a request basis. Single travellers may be expected to share with a stranger. All major international scuba accreditations are accepted and snorkellers are most welcome. This trip is for snorkellers and certified divers.
Price includes:
   *  3 days diving as per above
   *  2 nights shared cabin on the dive vessel including meals
